Everyone's beloved psychotic serial killer clown Art is set to make another triumphant return as Terrifier 3 is announced.
As reported by Deadline, writer-director Damien Leone will be returning with producer Phil Falcone for the third instalment. Whilst details surrounding the film are being kept under wraps, it has been confirmed that Lauren LaVera and David Howard Thornton are both set to return to reprise their roles of Sienna and Art the Clown. The film will also see a significant budget increase.
"Filming is expected to get underway in November or December of this year for release in late 2024. The threequel is understood to be getting a budget in the low-mid seven figure range, a significant increase on that of the sequel."
With Terrifier 2 raking in over $15 million at the global box office on a $250,000 it's no wonder The Coven (a French based worldwide film sales & distribution outlet) are giving this next one everything they've got.
"There will be a much bigger budget this time around, which is intended to give the filmmakers more creative freedom, and let them be as wild as they can be. And, all jokes aside, we are going for that Oscar this year." - Priscilla Smith (The Coven CEO)
Leone sound incredibly excited to continue Art's wonderfully violent and gory escapades with another film.
“Terrifier 3 will be another boundary pushing addition to the horror genre, continuing the no holds barred, uncompromising exploits fans of the franchise have come to expect and celebrate. If you thought Art the Clown’s reign of terror in part 2 was extreme, you haven’t seen anything yet.”
