John Carpenter's The Thing 4K Ultra HD Special Edition Releases This September

The classic 80s horror re-make from John Carpenter will head home for fans to enjoy in a special edition 4K Ultra HD release.

Horror-meister John Carpenter (Halloween, Escape from New York) teams Kurt Russell’s outstanding performance with incredible visuals to build this chilling version of the classic The Thing. In the winter of 1982, a twelve-man research team at a remote Antarctic research station discovers an alien buried in the snow for over 100,000 years. Once unfrozen, the form-changing alien wreaks havoc, creates terror and becomes one of them.

The Special Edition set comes with exclusive artwork from Matt Ferguson as well as a 4K Ultra HD restoration of John Carpenter's 1982, blu-ray discs of the 1982 film and it's 2011 prequel, an array of special features, an art booklet, art cards and a copy of Ennio Morricone's score.
