Terrifier creator, writer and director Damien Leone has provided fans with an exciting update about the highly anticipated fourth film. In a post on his Instagram page, the filmmaker revealed the sequel will be set at New Years.

"No space. No Easter bunny. Art’s bringing in the New Year! 🎆 🎉 🤡 🔥" - @damien_leone

This new announcement pushes the nightmare one step closer to reality, as Leone continues developing the next chapter with hopes of kicking off pre-production in the near future. And if Leone’s comments are anything to go by, fans should prepare for absolute carnage!

The filmmaker previously teased that the script is shaping up to be “the most epic, horrifying, thrilling, emotional, and satisfying conclusion to the Terrifier saga” – a bold promise for a franchise already drenched in chaos, gore, and nightmare fuel.

Even more shocking? Leone confirmed that Art the Clown’s long-awaited backstory will finally be revealed within the film’s opening 15 minutes. Unfortunately, for now, that is the only thing really known about the sequel.

Expected to return to the madness are franchise favorites David Howard Thornton, Lauren LaVera, and Samantha Scaffidi, in what could be the blood-soaked finale horror fans have been waiting for.

Speaking with Den of Geek back in February, LaVera was hoping to see Sienna get some retribution in the finale.

“I haven’t read any of the script yet. I don’t think Damien’s even done writing it as of right now. I’m sure he’s close to done based off things he has texted me and what he’s been telling the press, but no, he’s kept it completely under wraps from David, from myself, from all of the other cast and crew. So it’ll be a surprise. I want Jonathan to be alive; I want Gabbie to be saved; and I want some sort of retribution for Sienna, however that will look. I think our girl’s been through enough and she deserves a win, whatever it will look like for her. Whether or not she survives, I don’t know, but I think she deserves a win.”

Fingers crossed we'll get another update soon.
