James Wan developing new 'Monster Movie' with Universal

THR has exclusively revealed Universal are teaming up with James Wan to develop a new monster movie.
However, Wan will not be directing but producing via his Atomic Monster banner. Supernatural's writer and co-executive producer Robbie Thompson will be writing the script.
"Sources say the story takes its cues from Universal’s classic monster legacy and shines it through a modern prism. With shades of Disturbia, the story will focus on a group of teens who discover that a neighbor is building a monster in his basement. Spoiler: the monster gets loose."
This film will join the other monster movies currently in development from Universal- The Invisible Woman, Reinfield, Dark Army and Monster Mash.
