First Look At James Wan's Netflix Series

Legendary horror film maker has set his sights on the smaller screen and is acting as an executive producer on an upcoming Netflix horror series.
The series, Archive 81, is inspired by a found footage style podcast of the same name. Marc Sollinger and Daniel Powell created the podcast as well as co-producing the series with Wan. Director Rebecca Thomas (Stranger Things) has directed around half the upcoming series. Archive 81 stars Mamoudou Athie with Dina Shihabi, Martin Donovan, Matt McGorry, Julia Chan, Evan Jonigkeit, and Ariana Neal.
“When archivist Dan Turner (Athie) takes a mysterious job restoring a collection of damaged videotapes from 1994, he finds himself reconstructing the work of documentary filmmaker Melody Pendras (Shihabi) and her investigation into a dangerous cult. As Dan is drawn into Melody’s story, he becomes convinced he can save her from the terrifying end she met 25 years ago.”
