Child's Play TV Series Production Pushed to 2021

Everyone's favourite murderous doll was all set to return in a brand new TV Series from original creator Don Mancini, but Chucky's return has unfortunately been delayed.

As reported by Deadline, production on the series has been delayed due to CoVid-19. The series was originally meant to begin shooting later this year in Toronto with the intention of releasing the series in 2021.

"Production on the USA Network and Syfy series has been moved to 2021 as a result of the pandemic production shutdown. The plan was originally to film the series this fall but, due to COVID delays, this will now happen in the new year."

The producers are still hopeful the series will be able to release in 2021.

Don Mancini and Channel Zero creator Nick Antosca are collaborating on the series that will be a continuation of the story following the events of 2017's Cult of Chucky. The first teaser dropped in July, check it out below.

Brad Dourif is back to reprise his role as the voice behind the iconic killer. As is Jennifer Tilly, Fiona Dourif and Alex Vincent.
