Universal announced the five brand new lands that will make up their upcoming theme park in Orlando, Florida. Epic Universe, set to open summer 2025, will feature The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, Super Nintendo World, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk and Dark Universe.

Over 50 “unique and compelling experiences” will be packed into the five different world that feature in Universal Studios’ third park in Florida. From ground-breaking technology to an innovative racing roller coaster, to five different worlds connected through mystical portals, Epic is transformational on so many levels.

Dark Universe

In keeping with the immersive design of Epic Universe, all worlds are ingeniously separated by berms with “portal” entrances. These portals act as magical gateways, transitioning guests from the central hub of Celestial Park – a world between worlds – to the distinct realms of each area.

The ‘Dark Universe’ is said to be an “ominous and chilling experience” that will re-imagine Universal’s classic monsters. A land where monsters roam and guests encounter “the experiments of Dr Victoria Frankenstein to a shadowy landscape where monsters roam, Dark Universe is a world of myth and mystery.”

“Step through the Dark Universe portal and find yourself in a world where the line between legend and reality blurs. Here, Universal Monsters aren’t just tales whispered in the night – they are a living, breathing part of this world.”

What attractions will feature in this world are currently being kept under wraps, but we expect details to be released soon. Universal Epic Universe is a radically transformational theme park experience that will fully immerse guests in beloved cross-generational stories that empower them to be the epic heroes of their adventures. Located just a few miles from Universal Orlando’s current offerings, Epic Universe will feature breathtaking, multi-sensory environments, impeccable design and innovative technology throughout – creating an entirely new level of experience that will forever change theme park entertainment.

Guests will explore five spectacularly themed worlds, an array of unique dining, shopping and entertainment experiences, and so much more. Epic Universe will also be adjacent to three new Universal hotels, co-owned and operated by Loews Hotels & Co., – including sister properties, Universal Stella Nova Resort and Universal Terra Luna Resort, and the majestic Universal Helios Grand Hotel – which is located inside of the theme park.
