Big news coming from THR yesterday, as the site revealed Osgood Perkins and Nicholas Cage are reuniting for a new Longlegs film.

As reported by The Hollywood Reporter-
Osgood Perkins is working on a new Longlegs feature, a follow-up to the filmmaker’s mystery horror thriller that became highest-grossing independent film of the past decade.
And in a twist out of the Longlegs playbook, rather than original distributor Neon being involved, this one has Skydance-owned Paramount Pictures as the project’s new home.
Paramount has picked up the rights to the new mystery Longlegs project, which Perkins has written and will direct as well as produce. Nicolas Cage is returning as star and producer.
Range Media's Brian Kavanaugh Jones is also producing alongside C2's Dave Chaplan (who financed the original film) and Pekin's partner at their company Phobos Chris Ferguson.

Perkins & Cage Reuniting For Longlegs Film
Both Perkins and Paramount are remaining tight lipped about any details regarding the upcoming film, but sources have said this will not be a sequel. Instead this will be another film set within the 'Longlegs Universe'.
The film went on to gross $128 million worldwide from a modest $10 million budget, so it's not surprise the universe is being re-visited already. Paramount reportedly picked up the rights after Neon stepped aside when "the new project's scope and budget exceeded that of the company's normal parameters".
