Guerilla Publishing is back to bring us horror fans another issue of the incredible horror anthology Tales From The Cryptic Closet.

Back in 2019 Guerilla Publishing and Cryptic Closet teamed upm top create a comic series that paid homage to the classic Creepy, Tales from the Crypt, and EC Comics. The issue was a huge success, which in turn spawned Tales From The Cryptic Closet 2 in 2020 and Tales From The Cryptic Closet 3D in 2022 (which went on to become their best selling issue yet). Now Tales From The Cryptic Closet is set to publish a fourth, boasting an impressive 48-page issue with a foreward from horror actor Brett Wagner.
As per their press release-
Since its debut in 2019, the Tales From the Cryptic Closet series has gained a strong following, featuring horror-themed wrestlers such as WWE’s Karrion Kross and AEW’s Danhausen, while successfully funding its first three issues via Kickstarter. Now, for issue #4, Guerrilla Publishing and The Horror House Shop (also known as The Cryptic Closet) have teamed up with Brett Wagner to guide readers into another spine-chilling journey.
This 48-page horror anthology features an incredible lineup of talent, including:
Nathan Erdel (True Terror with Robert Englund, screenwriter for Indianapolis horror host Sammy Terry)
Jon Parrish (ClusterF@#K, Alterna Comics)
Julio A. Guerra (Vampiro Rockabilly Apocalypse, Massive Publishing & Masked Republic Comics)
Bill Halliar (HorrorHound magazine cover artist, creature creator)
Lisa Jones (award-winning muralist)

J. Adam Farster & Ben Miller (Guerrilla Publishing founders)
Moses Gibson & Vinny Malave (Horror House Shop owners)
Matthew Hansel (American Mythology Comics)
Plus Isaac Popovich, Lillian Bonner, and Eric Wolfgang

Horror Anthology Tales From The Cryptic Closet Returns
The comic is officially complete, but the team behind Tales From The Cryptic Closet have taken to Kickstarter looking for help from the horror community to help with printing and other expenditures. And they've got some pretty great perks up for grabs too!
These include-
Physical and digital copies of the highly anticipated fourth issue
A collector’s bundle featuring all four issues, stored in a special Cryptic Creeper Creeper Crunch cereal box
A limited-edition T-shirt designed by cover artist Bill Halliar
The first-ever Cryptic Creeper collectible figure
And even a one-of-a-kind opportunity to have their head drawn on the back cover of the book
You can head over to their Kickstarter page to grab a copy and support the project- items are expected to ship in April.
I was fortunate to be sent a digital copy to check out by the team behind it (thank you again!), and it's fantastic. The stories are great fun with each seemingly dipping it's toe into another sub-genre of horror. The artwork and visuals are stunning and incredibly well drawn, and features an array of styles to appease horror and comicbook fans alike. And I'll be honest, the Cryptic Creeper is just a kick-ass character. Part of me can see him and The Crypt Keeper being the best of friends, just kicking back retelling horrific stories to an unseen audience. For any fans of Tales of the Crypt and Creepshow, this comic is a must.
