Hooked On Horror's Weekly Round-Up (6th April - 12 April 20)

Hey folks, hope all is well. Relatively slow week for horror news. Hope you are all ok during this lockdown and enjoyed your Easter weekend. Here's our weekly round-up, enjoy!


Evil Dead celebrated it's 7th Anniversary. Director Fede Alvarez celebrated by giving us fans some great behind the scenes shots from the film.

A new trailer for The Walking Dead: World Beyond dropped hinting the Rick Grimes connection. AMC released another teaser for season 6 of the spin-off series Fear The Walking Dead. The show returns this summer. Universal released the news that a Special 45th Anniversary Edition 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray + Digital Download of Jaws will release this June. They unveiled the news via Twitter before swiftly deleting the tweet, however not before a lot of users saw it. We are still waiting on an update regarding the news.

FX released a new series of publicity stills for the upcoming second season of horror-comedy mockumentary What We Do In The Shadows.

Universal announced the release of The Invisible Man on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD this May. Shudder's documentary series, Cursed Films, examining the various alleged curses that plagued the production of several horror films became available for UK users. It's a fantastic series by the way! To help keep you folks from going full Jack Torrance during this lockdown, virtual tours are becoming more available to take on your computer from the safety of your own home. Virtual Tours of Dracula's Castle, The Winchester House and The Catacombs are now available online. Good ol' Bruce the Shark celebrated an anniversary. He's been stalking the waters of Universal Studios Hollywood's backlot for the last 44 years.

Hallmark brings horror into the home this Christmas. They've announced Jaws, The Haunted Mansion and Stranger Things ornaments for sale later this year.

Rob Zombie's directorial debut, the incredible and gruesome House of 1000 Corpses celebrated it's 17th Anniversary. Spyglass Media revealed their writing/directing team ready to reboot Hellraiser and bring Pinhesd back to the big screen. The screenplay will be by Luke Piotrowski and Ben Collins, with David Bruckner directing. David Goyer will be writing the story and producing. The Annabelle Comes Home filmmaker, Gary Dauberman, is set to write and direct the brand new adaptation of Stephen King's Salem's Lot. James Wan is producing.
