First reactions to Halloween Kills

As we shared via our social media pages last week, Halloween Kills had it's first test screening in Los Angeles last Thursday (30th Jan)...and it's had very positive reactions since.

The sequel to David Gordon Green's 2018 is set to release 16th October 2020, and now they've had a sucessful test screening surely we'll be getting the first trailer soon.

In the meantime here are the first reactions, via social media & Reddit, from those lucky enough to attend the test screening.

"Better than Halloween 2018!"
"An absolutely massive bodycount."
"The movie has some great callbacks to past Halloween films but remains original"
"You won't believe it!"
"The movie is like Halloween on acid. It's balls to the wall crazy"
"The director and writer finally delivered a solid sequel that will impress more than depress. This will probably be the first time the franchise has gotten a smooth test screening with no problems whatsoever. I won't give out any spoilers due to the respect of Universal and die hard fans but I will say this, 1978 is back and I felt it everytime the flashbacks happen- the tone, the feel, the music, even The Shape's attitude and movement it's all there. As for present day, I don't think horror has felt more organic and emotional in my entire life. David Gordon Green has not disappointed."
"It's 1978, Halloween II, Halloween 4 and 18 in one. Halloween Kills may be the best sequel."
"It took me forever to get the words to describe the feels without getting cheesy. It is the sequel that will destroy them all. They actually dared to defy with this new one."
"Halloween Kills delivers in spades. Truly remarkable!"
"They actually did it..."
"Michael Myers is ultra violent and brutal!"

All in all it sounds like the audience loved the film which is incredibly promising. Not to mention either that no reshoots have been announced following it, which is what happened with 2018's Halloween. The reactions look very positive! I can also reveal that the script that supposedly leaked online and is currently doing the rounds is in fact fake and Halloween Kills will see the return of a major character.

Feel free to search #HalloweenKills on social media and see for yourself. Just a heads up there are spoilers to be found if you want them, but you won't find them being posted here. Hopefully it won't be long before we get the first official trailer from Universal and Blumhouse. After reading all the reactions online, I can't even tell you how excited I am...October needs to hurry up!
