Fresh off the fun popcorn horror Helloween, Shogun Films have just released their latest film Doctor Plague.
Set in East London, the film follows the story of Detective John Verney as he tries to take down renowned serial killer Doctor Plague.
Pop icon and screen favourite Martin Kemp (The Krays, EastEnders, I’m A Celeb) stars in the chilling mystery thriller Doctor Plague, a dark and atmospheric serial killer film set in the heart of London. Martin Kemp plays Detective John Verney who is in the hunt for the serial killer known as 'Doctor Plague'. Can John track down this brutal killer before the bodycount piles up! With the help of journalist Francesca (Jeanine Nerissa Sothcott) only time will tell whether the reign of Doctor Plague will come to an end.
Ben Fortune makes his feature directorial debut with a script from Simon Cluett, Robert Dunn and Robert Geoffrey Hughes. Martin Kemp leads an acclaimed ensemble cast including Peter Woodward (The Patriot), David Yip (A View to a Kill), Jeanine Nerissa Sothcott (Nemesis, Helloween), Wendy Glenn (You’re Next), Daisy Beaumont (The World Is Not Enough), Gary Webster (Family Affairs, Minder, EastEnders) and Michael McKell (Allied).
Doctor Plague Out Now
Produced by Shogun Films Doctor Plague released January 12th on digital, DVD & Blu-ray. Furthermore, this marks the first release of the year for Shogun with several more films slated for release throughout the year.
These include spy action thriller Knightfall, horror film Harbinger and Guy Fawkes Blood and Fire. Plenty of great looking movies headed our way from the team over at Shogun Films. But lets get back to the first of these releases. Doctor Plague. The film has been released on both sides of the ocean and fans are able to pick up with the film on Blu-ray which is great news. Whats better is that the Blu-ray is region free so for those outside of the US, you can import it and add it to your collection.
